DXC partners with 7AI to integrate agentic AI into security operations, enhancing automation and threat response without re-engineering existing systems.
DXC and 7AI Collaborate to Launch Agentic AI-Driven Security Operations Center
Global technology services provider DXC has announced a partnership with agentic AI-focused security technology developer 7AI to launch the DXC Agentic Security Operations Center (SoC), marking DXC's first venture into agentic AI. The new DXC Agentic Security Operations Center combines DXC’s existing SoC capabilities with fully autonomous AI agents from 7AI. This integration offers end-end managed security operations, including alert ingestion, investigation of potential issues, and remediation. Chris Drumgoole, president of DXC’s Global Infrastructure Services business, emphasized the seamless integration of 7AI’s technology:“There’s a lot of people claiming to have AI agents. What we liked most about 7AI on the tech side is that it didn’t require a whole re-engineering of our process and tools. We had the ability to just plug in and augment the people we have today without having to re-engineer everything.”DXC, ranked No. 14 on CRN’s 2025 Solution Provider 500, evaluated several partners before selecting 7AI due to their technology’s compatibility and the strong collaboration between the teams. Drumgoole added that part of DXC’s role as the integrator and operator is to ensure continuous service for customers regardless of changes in the underlying technology. While DXC has long offered AI capabilities through its Platform X—an intelligent automation platform for predictive failure and maintenance—this partnership represents its first move into agentic AI, where AI agents autonomously perform specific tasks traditionally done by humans. Lior Div, co-founder and CEO of 7AI, described their agentic security platform as a new approach that goes beyond generative AI text outputs like ChatGPT. Instead, 7AI’s platform uses AI to actively perform security tasks by integrating with various systems via APIs.
“Our AI knows how to operate those systems in order to do investigation,” Div explained. “When a human is doing a cyber investigation, they query systems, gather information, and proceed step-by-step. Our agentic AI mimics this process, often performing investigations faster and more effectively than humans.”Unlike most of 7AI’s channel partner relationships, the collaboration with DXC involves DXC building a new service around 7AI’s technology and directly serving customers. This significantly expands 7AI’s market reach due to DXC’s global footprint and salesforce. Div stressed the immediacy of agentic AI adoption:
“Agentic AI is not a test anymore. It’s here, now, affecting Fortune 500 companies. People think it’s coming in a year and a half, but it’s happening faster than that.”Looking forward, DXC views agentic AI as transformative for infrastructure, cloud, and security operations. Drumgoole noted:
“We’re a $7 billion business focused on uptime. Agentic AI will enable our SoC to handle higher volumes, predict failures faster, and respond more quickly to issues.”DXC is also experimenting with agentic AI internally, such as AI agents listening to outage calls and making recommendations to speed resolution and improve service quality.
