DXC teams with 7AI to integrate agentic AI into security operations, enhancing automation and response capabilities for global clients.
DXC Technology has announced a significant step into agentic AI with a strategic partnership with 7AI, a developer of agentic AI security technology. This collaboration marks the launch of the DXC Agentic Security Operations Center (SoC), integrating DXC’s existing SoC capabilities with 7AI’s fully autonomous AI agents.
This new service aims to provide end-to-end managed security operations, encompassing alert ingestion, threat investigation, and remediation. Chris Drumgoole, president of DXC’s Global Infrastructure Services business, highlighted the ease of integrating 7AI's technology, emphasizing that it did not necessitate a complete overhaul of current processes and tools. "There's a lot of people claiming to have AI agents," Drumgoole stated, "What we liked most about 7AI on the tech side is that it didn’t require a whole re-engineering of our process and tools. We had the ability to just plug in and augment the people we have today without having to re-engineer everything. 7AI’s approach of being able to plug right into an operating SoC was really, really helpful.”
Despite 7AI being a relatively new entity, their collaborative approach with DXC in tailoring tools to meet specific customer needs was commended by Drumgoole. This partnership is DXC's initial venture into agentic AI, complementing its existing AI offerings through Platform X, which focuses on predictive failure and maintenance in IT environments.
Lior Div, co-founder and CEO of 7AI, explained that their agentic AI platform actively performs security operations through API integrations and system controls, going beyond mere generative AI outputs. These AI agents are designed to mimic human cyber investigation workflows, autonomously querying systems, analyzing responses, and progressing through investigative steps at a speed that surpasses human operators.
Unlike 7AI's standard channel partner model, this collaboration sees DXC building a new service around 7AI's technology to directly serve customers, significantly expanding 7AI's global reach. Div noted the growing adoption of agentic AI in large enterprises, stating, "Agentic AI is not a test anymore. It’s here. It’s now, in reality, affecting Fortune 500 companies."
Looking ahead, DXC anticipates agentic AI will be transformative for infrastructure, cloud, and security operations. Drumgoole expressed, "We think the opportunity for agentic AI in that space is limitless. We’re in the business of delivering uptime. Agentic AI will help us handle higher volumes, predict failures faster, and respond to issues more effectively.” DXC is also exploring internal applications, such as using AI agents to assist with outage calls and provide real-time recommendations for faster issue resolution and improved service quality.
