Google's Gemini 2.5 Deep Think uses multiple AI agents in parallel, achieving record-breaking results in knowledge and coding benchmarks.
Google DeepMind has unveiled Gemini 2.5 Deep Think, its latest AI reasoning model that utilizes a groundbreaking multi-agent approach. This innovative model tackles complex problems by deploying multiple AI agents that work in parallel, synthesizing their perspectives to generate superior answers. Gemini 2.5 Deep Think is Google's first public multi-agent model and has already demonstrated remarkable capabilities, even securing a gold medal at the 2025 International Math Olympiad with a customized version.
The model has set new performance benchmarks on challenging tests, including Humanity’s Last Exam (HLE) and LiveCodeBench 6. On HLE, Gemini 2.5 Deep Think achieved a score of 34.8%, outperforming Grok 4 (25.4%) and OpenAI’s o3 (20.3%) across diverse fields like math, humanities, and science. In coding proficiency, it reached an impressive 87.6% on the LiveCodeBench 6 benchmark, surpassing Grok 4 (79%) and OpenAI o3 (72%). These advancements are attributed to enhanced reinforcement learning techniques that enable deeper reasoning, along with the integration of advanced tools like code execution and search capabilities, allowing for more comprehensive responses.
Currently, Gemini 2.5 Deep Think is accessible to subscribers of Google’s $250-per-month Ultra plan via the Gemini app. Google also intends to expand access to select developers through the Gemini API in the near future.
